There are many urban villages in Beijing, but there may be fewer in the future.

What are the urban villages of Beijing like in 2023? Today I visited the urban village with the largest number of migrant workers: Yuxinzhuang Village in Shahe Town, Changping District. This is an urban village with over 70,000 residents, many of whom are young people. Here you can find inexpensive food, cheap rent, convenient transportation, and all kinds of shops. Moreover, it is less than one kilometer away from Shahe Station on the Changping Line. Living here makes it easy to take the subway to Haidian and Changping districts.

Today I filmed the surroundings of the subway station, all kinds of food, and the central street of the urban village on foot, and tasted the stinky tofu and grilled oysters here.

In addition, I also consulted with two landlords about the rental prices and cost of living, and visited the single apartments currently being rented here, hoping to be helpful to everyone.

The video records the living conditions of the Yuxinzhuang urban village from the aspects of food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, hoping to help young people who are about to graduate and move to Beijing.
