Custom properties are something I've talked about little bit about on this channel, but that's not in proportion to how I use them. I use them ALL THE TIME. If you're not, it might be only because you're not recognizing opportunities where custom properties would be the perfect solution.

And this week, one of those situations arose where a client wanted to "color code" their blog posts by category. I hadn't attempted this before, but it's actually really simple thanks to custom properties!

In this video, I'll show you step-by-step how to create a custom property and assign it using GenerateBlocks query loop and GeneratePress elements to give your site a completely custom feel and premium touch!

A big shout out to Taylor Drayson (from https://snippetclub.com/) for the inspiration for this one!
