Initially I had just thought about patterns as a "collection of blocks", but in a conversation with Tom Usborne (founder of GenerateBlocks) he pointed out the benefits to using patterns to create pre-styled versions of single blocks (like buttons, sections, headlines, etc.).
In his words "patterns basically allow you to build your own blocks"
I wasn't sure exactly what this meant until I started playing with it — and holy shit, he's right!
In this video I show you the difference between using the default blocks and adding classes vs setting up your "presets" as their own patterns to create your own pseudo-blocks!
This little discovery has me completely re-thinking my workflow!
