Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell warns the Albanese government and Opposition’s failure to agree on an October 7 motion will be a “test” for the Teals.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton rejected the government’s October 7 motion after it tried to include mentions of the deaths in Gaza and Lebanon.

“It has also been put to me by Liberal sources that this motion which Peter Dutton is now opposing will be a test for the Teals,” Mr Clennell said.

“That will be a test for those independent MPs to see whether they vote for the Albanese motion or they prefer this more pro-Israel motion.”
