This video continues from where we left you last week, with us leaving the Plough pub, and heading towards Leighton Buzzard. We go through a few locks, one of which has a swing bridge across the middle, this is Fenny Stratford lock. We continue cruising our NARROWBOAT floating home and find a lovely mooring where we stop for a night or two. While we are there, the heavens open and we have a torrential downpour! After that, we continue to cruise, do a few more locks, before mooring near to the Globe Inn at Leighton Buzzard. We learn a new way of working double locks when you are a single boat in the lock. At that mooring, Martin finds a little ‘friend’ and we go for a nice meal at the pub. We move on to a very convenient stop to get some provisions before mooring up at Leighton Buzzard. There was a scary moment, involving fire, but all turned out ok in the end.
Our friend Nikki returns for one last journey with us and we make it to Marsworth junction through some dull, wet, and dreary weather …. my foot gets trapped momentarily at the swing bridge, and we complete 11 locks!
