This is the amazing Boys Championship race (Race 6) from the 2021 Clovis Cross Country Invitational, held October 9 at the 5,000 meter Woodward Park course in Fresno, CA. The Clovis Invitational has become a key stop for many teams, serving as a preview of the CIF State meet later in the year. The Championship races are exciting due to the depth of competition, and the 2021 race took it to another level. The nation's top Boys team, Newbury Park, came into Clovis after a record-setting performance at Woodbridge. Watch as they take the top four spots and essentially shatter their own Woodward course team time record set in 2019 at the CIF State meet. Newbury senior Colin Sahlman had the third fastest time ever on the course, and his teammates Lex and Leo Young had the 5th and 6th fastest times (they also had the top two times for Junior boys).
