This tutorial walks through how I pattern 2D objects for my plushies. By "2D" I mean there are only 2 sides to the pattern, and no third piece adding width to the object. Pieces like this commonly include hair, ears, arms, legs, tails, etc.

Patterning 2D objects is a great way to get started with designing your own plush patterns.
