This tutorial shows how to pattern and sew a color transition on a plush via color blocking, which is a term used for when the change is made through a seam rather than top stitched or appliqued on.

Color blocking is a great step into patterning for the first time. If you have an existing pattern, you can alter it to add colors using this process.
