This is the all new BMW i8M Concept. This is the first i8 from BMW in a long time since its discontinuation after the 2019 i8. This will also be the first i8 to have full M Performance, which might make it one of the fastest BMW’s ever. There are some speculations of this being named the BMW i8 M, but the car itself is still technically based off the body architecture of the BMW M Vision Next, which came out in mid-2019. You can get this car in two trims, the Coupe or Roadster. The Coupe is the normal version of the i8 M which is being shown in this video, while the Roadster has not been revealed yet, but will have a removable roof. That might be a bit slower than the i8 M Coupe, but it might be one of the fastest roadsters of all time.

Regarding the performance of this car, no performance figures have been revealed yet, mainly because this is a concept car. But there is an aerodynamic body with a sleek front, along with a very light exterior and interior. With those assumptions, we can assume that this i8 M can go from 0-100 km/h in under 3 seconds. We can also expect this car to have at least 800 hp from either an electric battery system or a hybrid system with a small and light engine exactly like you have in the all new Koenigsegg Gemera. The Roadster model might also have the same power, but 0-100 km/h time might be slower due to aerodynamic drag, at 2.5 to 3.5 seconds (that aerodynamic drag is only estimated. Real performance and track capabilities have not been tested or revealed yet).

Now we shall move on into the interior, where being that this is still only a concept in development, may be very simplistic in terms of its design. But you will find some futuristic features, such as the long steering wheel, and the newly redesigned display. The driver’s display on the concept is relatively smaller than the normal driver’s displays in other BMW models, but the screen pixels are actually on a special screen that looks like glass. The display (at least on the middle of the interior, even though now there isn’t one in the concept) might be bigger on the real production car. There are 3 parts to the driver’s display, where they actually managed to make some visual effects on the screen, making the screen yellow while still seeing the screen piece from behind, all with the help of various other tech companies. Another thing you get inside is two cupholder marks, but they will be real cupholders in the production car. Once again, you get the long steering wheel, but that’s not all. You also get two small screens on the steering wheel with settings to customize your driving performance. Finally, you get a sleeker looking window from inside and outside.

On the exterior, there are a lot more changes that you will see. One notable feature is the two tone gray and red color on the concept model shown in this video, with a nice blend in of red and grey on the spokes of the rear wheels. You will also get taillights that look almost like a BMW XM if you look at the top. But other than that, you will get a light-up grill at the front, with the whole exterior finished in a matte body material, specifically on the concept at least.

Now we will talk about pricing. No official pricing figures have been revealed yet, but we can only expect the normal i8 M Coupe to start at at least $160,000 CAD (over $110,000 USD), and $180,000 CAD (over $130,000 USD) for the i8 M Roadster. While the BMW M Vision Next came out in mid-2019 as a concept, the BMW i8 M will not arrive until 2025 or later.
