At long last, I proudly present my final project for my Composition 1 class. There were zero restrictions on what we were allowed to compose so I decided to make my gimmick a solo piano piece that only used the right hand. The title is a tongue and cheek reference to this gimmick as well as a summary of the emotional heart of the song. I was looking to do an optimistic exploration of loss with the stance that time can heal all wounds. The left hand, representing the loss of something dear, never returns in the song. Despite this, the right hand gradually shifts from a depressed, minor feel to a slightly more major, but still bittersweet, feel.

The last two weeks are upon us. My final exam for the semester is in two days so I'll be completely free to put some real time into these final two compositions. I'm looking forward to showing you all a good end to this challenge!
