Few things, via short video, about traditional Hungarian Eastern celebration. How young men and women used to celebrate Eastern in Hungary in the past.

Opusztaszer Historical National Heritage Park

I made this video in a museum village, named Opusztaszer. It location is on the Southern part of Hungary, close to the City named Szeged. This beautiful park has many historic structures relocated to it. There are a series of historical-style yerts in the park round portable structures from the past. There are working windmill, the baker''s house, where they still bake bread on the old fashioned way.

Also there are old post office, old school, locksmith, blacksmith, old farm with animals, horses, pigs, the Hungarian mangalica, sheep and much more.

There are many buildings and house in this park. Basically all the house was moved there from somewhere else.

You will see men dance "csardas" which is traditional Hungarian folk dance. There are many different kind of csardas, many differet way to dance it. It can a single man dance it alone. In this video a group of man dancing, but with out women. The women just watches the dancing men.

Chimney Cake - Kürtőskalács Baking

Then you will see how they bake the Chimney Cake - "Kürtőskalács". Many believe, the Chimney Cake is a Romanian specularity. They are wrong... The Chimney Cake originated from a Hungarian ethnic group, named "Szekely". However they are living in Romania, because the border was moved after the first world war. The Szekely Magyars live in Romania, but they are still Hungarian and they proud of their Hungarian roots.

Old fashioned Easter Eggs Coloring.

Easter eggs coloring on the old fashioned way with out any kind of paint. Of course those girls did it wearing traditional Hungarian Folk Clothing. Plus many men and women did wear traditional folk clothing, just to dress up for Easter.

There are so many things is going on in this National Park every day, easy to spend a week there and probably still wont be enough time to see everything.

The Feszty Körkép (circle picture)

I have to mention this. It is inside in a big building, we went in, but there is no camera policy.

The Feszty panorama picture is the circular panorama picture. Its size like a soccer filed. Made Árpád Feszty painter. The painting subject is the Hungarian conquest.

It is not only impressive because of its size, but also unique in its artistic design and display. The panorama is a unique. There are things going on on the picture, like fighting or kidnapping women. The picture subject coordinated with sound effect. You stand at the front of the picture, you can see the painting and hear whats happen on the picture. The painting subject coordinated - different scenes different sound effects. It makes an incredibly experience.

View the Feszty panorama is subject to an appointment. However I have to tell you.... it is not cheap at all. You pay the price, but it is a once in a life time experience.
