Watching a loved one slowly fade with age can be a painful reminder of the fleeting nature of life and the fragility of our human connections. It feels scary when you e that you are becoming a symbol of strength and unwavering dedication to your family. While it may also feel like our family is splitting into jagged pieces, each a reminder of our mortality, Then it becomes difficult to remember that taking a break is not a sign of weakness but rather the courage to recharge and refocus, allowing you to return to life with renewed energy and a clearer perspective.

Last year, I had the opportunity to return to my home country, Cuba, to reunite with some of my family and friends. During this visit, I also had the opportunity to see my grandmother without knowing that it would be the last goodbye.

While making this video, I took a moment to reflect on the fragility of life and the profound connections between generations. This one precious life I’ve been given continues to unfold with potential for growth, renewal, and the creation of new memories.
