പാലക്കാട് തൃശൂർ ജില്ലകൾക്കു ഇടയിൽ നാഷണൽ ഹൈവേ 544 യിൽ ആണ് കുതിരാൻ ഇരട്ട തുരങ്കങ്ങൾ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.[Kuthiran twin tunnels are located on National Highway 544 between Palakkad and Thrissur districts.]

സൗത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും നീളം കൂടിയ 6 lane റോഡ് തുരങ്കവും ഇത് തന്നെ ആണ്. [It is also the longest 6 lane road tunnel in South India. It is situated in the Kuthiran Hills, which is part of the Anamala Hills.]

955 ഉം 944 ഉം മീറ്റർ നീളമുള്ള തുരങ്കങ്ങൾക്കു 14 മീറ്റർ വീതിയും 10 മീറ്റർ ഉയരവും ഉണ്ട് . രണ്ടു തുരങ്കങ്ങൾക്കു തമ്മിൽ 20 മീറ്ററോളം അകലവും ഉണ്ട്. [The 955- and 944-meter-long twin tunnels are having 14 meters width and 10 meters height. There is 20 meters between the two tunnels.]
