I wrote this a few weeks ago but there has been A LOT happening recently in my personal life so only just had the chance to put it up. It's a song based on 'It's My Life' by the mighty Eric Burdon and The Animals. Don't worry, i'm not singing it, just speaking the words. I think it makes my feelings pretty clear. In the words of John Lennon: "I still believe in peace, love, and understanding."

War, after war, after war, after war,
Who on earth is it truly good for?
When peace, love, and understanding,
Has surely got to be more undemanding?

So,
Stop the war,
We don’t want anymore.
Stop the war,
It’s not what we're made for.
Think of the kids,
Just let them live.
They're our daughters, our sons,
So please put down your G-ddamn guns. Now.

Leaders, they need us, bleed us, then leave us.
If society united then they can’t deceive us.
Instead, our heads in social media,
Scrapping for billionaires who thieve ya!

So,
Stop the war,
We don’t want anymore.
Stop the war,
It’s not what we were made for.
Think of the kids,
Just let them live.
They're our daughters, our sons,
So please put down your G-ddamn guns. Now.

War, after war, after war, after war,
Maybe that’s what man-kind is best for.
We fight, all the time, online, aren’t you tired?
Or in the streets-we need complete ceasefire!

So,
Stop the war,
We don’t want anymore.
Stop the war,
It’s not what we got made for.
Think of the kids,
Just let them live.
They're our daughters, our sons,
So please put down your G-ddamn guns. Now.

STOP THE WAR!

PS 31/12/2023 Since making this video, it's been a really difficult few weeks, and overall ending to the year. I have been repeatedly attacked by people in my community, online especially, simply for standing up for all humanity. It's f**king tough. I gave the last 10 years to volunteering in Jewish schools, various synagogues, student movements around the UK etc. All because I was so passionate about mental health and suicide prevention within Judaism. I even won awards for my work (Topland Award, Forty Under 40 etc). So, you can tarnish me all you want to now, but you cannot change what came before. Furthermore, I spent the last 5 years constantly battling antisemitism on Twitter. Just ask former employee David Wilding. There's plenty of receipts. I once had a big profile on Twitter due to my mental health work. Yet, in the end, it was me who was punished, and ultimately silenced, by Twitter/X, for speaking the truth. Always, I tried to be on the right side of humanity. In 2018, I started a youth charity because of my desire to protect the mental health of the next generation. So, of course I couldn’t be silent about the plight of the children of Gaza. No-one is talking about the trauma so many of the youngsters who do survive there will undoubtedly experience. People say “they care about everyone’s mental health” but it seems that’s just for some, not for all. I give up now. I pray for all the children. Please pray for them too. I also pray for a (social media) revolution. Because we cannot carry on as we are. Surely we must all agree on this one thing at least. Humanity died for me in 2023. I am sure I am not the only one who feels that way?
