Yesterday Sep 24, 2023, I went to United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey's "Railroad Museum For A Day" event in Boonton, NJ, mainly to view their RECENTLY acquired ALP-44M No. 4424 locomotive from New Jersey Transit. Believe it or not, despite being a railfan for most of my life, this was my first time INSIDE of a locomotive.

Although the weather wasn't ideal with the rain, wind & chilly weather. The staff was hospitable and the nostalgia was impeccable. Hats off to URHS NJ. The 2023 Boonton Yard Open House was a SUCCESS! Enjoy!

Sidenote, it would be nice if NJ Transit ran weekend service on the Boonton Line..
