When Elixir first brought out coated strings, I tried them. Didn't like them and the shed their skins like reptiles.
When they brought out Nanoweb -I found that "some" string coatings failed - particularly the G strings.
I don't have acid body chemistry and my hands are very dry, but I do live in south east England in a relatively hi Relative Humidity are - close to the sea, and lots of rain.

I don't experience "dead" strings, or breakages, and I'm not a "heavy" user, who tends to change strings (3-4 months) when they look "coppery"

So here's me using £20 D'addario "XS" strings.
BTW - string costs here in UK
£10 = $12.70, £20 = $25.40, £320 = $406, £400 = $508.
Obviously US made strings in the US are cheaper -no import costs, and no VAT (in UK all prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) currently 20%.

BTW - I tested clear of Covid on 21st May.

What strings do you use?
