Friday night Golden League play started with Palmdale taking on Quartz Hill at home. Both teams came into the game looking to go 1-0 to start the league. It showed throughout the whole game that both teams weren't going to down easy. The game was a defensive slugfest with both teams capitalizing on each other's mistakes, with each team having pick 6's in the game. Palmdale was able to hold off Quartz Hill on the last play to win it.
