On the 3rd of November, I took a trip to the coastal town of Malindi to document this upcoming house. Despite being rained on, we discussed some aspects of the upcoming house with Samuel Chomba, the main contractor of the project, :
315 SQM maisonette (approx. 159 SQM per floor x2)
4 bedrooms, all ensuite
All upstairs bedrooms have their own balconies
Rooftop balcony designed to host pergolas
Ksh 5M (USD 33.1K) has been used so far for the structure
Total cost of finished house from Bills of Quantities; Ksh 8M (USD 52.9K)
2.7M high panels were used, 272 panels
Beam and block tech for the 1st floor and rooftop slabs
Gypsum brandering, skimming, wiring, screeding were ongoing at the time of my visit
The house is part of an estate project that will occupy an acre of land.
