Ustad Shafi Ahmed Khan was a wonderful singer and guru of Agra-Atrauli Gharana. This is an exposition of Raag Bihag, a late evening melody. It starts with a short alaap typical to this school, using syllables 'Nom tom rene ri tene' etc, followed by a slow (vilambit) composition in Ektaal (twelve beat cycle) - Kaise samjhaun. It concludes with a faster paced composition in teental (16 beats) - Suna liyo mori araja.

The purpose of these uploads is only to bring the wonderful music of the Agra Gharana to music lovers. There is no commercial interest or intention to infringe on any copyrights. Hopefully, this effort will add some useful and interesting pieces to the huge body of music already uploaded on Youtube and other public platforms by generous contributors. My efforts are inspired by their generosity.
