I made a video sharing how I tie my custom wrist supports. I often have my husband home and available to help me with things. With many things I don't have a choice in needing help however this is one of the areas that I have found a way to do it on my own allowing my husband to not need to accept responsibility for the applying of my braces. It is a nice feeling of independence. We've gotten a few more ways to make me less reliant on husband including task training my current pet dog in anticipation for my next dog that will be a fully self trained service dog. I'll include some of those work arounds in future videos.

I do want to mention that I've practiced this method only a couple of times and find going back and tightening each side of the bow a couple times being sure to pull the tightening side not the end of the lace side of the bow works better than using my teeth. I also do not recomend using teeth, if you're like me, and have been on various medications including prednisone, your teeth my not be the most sturdy. I value my teeth so I've been practicing the tightening the bow only using my free hand as shown on the second brace. You could potentially use an aligator clip/binder clip hooked onto a nail to hold the second loop while using your free hand on the other loop to tighten. It just takes a bit of working to find what works best for you. The hair pin keeps the tie secure until the bow is in place.

These wrist braces are testers from Felix & Kitty Creative, Wearables That Should Exist i recomend following Felix & Kitty on Instagram for more information on these and for information on other wearables that should exist https://instagram.com/felixandkittycr...
