Rodger is the representation of the the strong safety defensive dark side of the dragon personality ..He tells Jake a story
"One day this man walks out of his house to go to work. He sees this snail on his porch. So he picks it up and chucks it over his roof, into the back yard. Snail bounces off a rock, cracks its shell all to ****, and lands in the grass. Snail lies there dying. But it doesn't die. It eats some grass. Slowly heals. Grows a new shell. And after a while it can crawl again. One day the snail up and heads back to the front of the house. Finally, after a year, the little guy crawls back on the porch. Right then, the man walks out to go to work and sees this snail again. So he says to it, 'What the f uck's your problem?'"

The story is a old street fable Interpreted many ways but more often than not its meaning is the world is cruel and everyone will try to tear you down ....Player's Play& Winner's Win ...Hater's Hate and Loser's Lose .. What important is no matter how much they try (and they will try )to break you or throw you around Always pick your self up and keep fighting : don't every let anyone try to tell you who you are or what you can do in life .. Adaptability Intelligence Strength Courage Conviction with the Will to power , shows and will permeate leaving a lasting impression ...Even if your just a little snail from a broken shell , with enough determination the world can be yours and no one can ever take it from you..

Both of them -One in the same .. have gained the world coming up from nothing however were corrupted by power ..and have been lingering around unable to sacrifice or share it even when they know they are destructive to themselves and those around them ..
You prove your true strength , After you get the power ,
And you use it for good.. more so by LETTING IT GO ...

Jake represents the strong defensive lighter side- the way, peace within duality . The egalitarian balance of justice and unconditional love for all .An objective perspective who's actions in this specific scene are the manifestation of the Proustian inner child .
