Welcome to our channel Sachin’s FoodTour. In today’s seafood series, we have prepared Crab Masala Curry. As you travel from Maharashtra to South of India, you will find many variations in Crab Curry recipe be it Malvan, Kokan, Goa, Coastal region of Karnataka, Kerala etc. Every recipe is unique and has special ingredients from that place to make Crab curry super delicious.

Malvani Crab Curry | Crab masala recipe
Ingredients:
Crab – 6
Sliced Onion – 2
Grated Dry Coconut – 1 cup
Chopped Ginger – 1 inch
Chopped Green Chillies – 2
Chopped Garlic Cloves – 10
Oil – 8 tsp
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Malvani Masala – 3 tsp
Haldi (Turmeric) Powder – ½ tsp
Salt
Kokum – 5
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tbsp
Chopped Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp

KING Size Crab Masala Curry | How to make Crab Masala
Step 1: In a pan, add 3 tsp oil, chopped garlic cloves, chopped ginger and chopped green chillies. Stir well on medium flame. Add sliced 2 onions and stir until light golden brown. Add grated dry coconut and saute until light golden brown. Add half cup coriander leaves. Stir well. Add mixture in grinder and grind to fine paste. Add water if required.
Step 2: Add 5 tsp oil in pan. Add Malvani masala and haldi (Turmeric) powder and stir well. Add grinded masala paste. Stir well on medium flame. Stir until oil separates. Add salt and stir well.
Step 3: Add 6 big size crabs and stir well. Add kokum and garam masala powder. Add water as required. Stir well.
Step 4: Close the lid and cook it for 15 minutes. Add chopped dhaniya (coriander) leaves on top. Serve it hot with Rice / Bhakri / Chapati.

Please note: If you don’t have Malvani masala then add 2 tsp Garam Masala Powder and 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
