Since time immemorial, secret and hermetic societies have guarded ancestral knowledge about the nature of reality, as well as protocols and keys to learn how to manipulate it. This was taught ONLY to a select few. In the higher degrees of Freemasonry, such as the 33rd degree, this knowledge is known and safeguarded. Some authors, like Manly Palmer Hall, have tried to shed some light on these matters.
