This is easily one of the best MV this year because of its execution!!! I’ve been wanting to see this concept done for so long and because they did it so well I can’t help but have this big feeling of satisfaction! The aesthetic, the playfulness, the effects, the bouncing colours between blue for the water/dive and pink for love etc. It’s so good!!! Plus the mirrors! Real ones and in the dance!!! Ahhh SO GOOD! Since they’re singing about Narcissi who fell in love with themselves I believe by looking into a mirror, they’ve implemented that in the dance and it’s perfect! Which is why it makes me wonder whether this is a love song or a love yourself song if that makes sense. If it is the later, I like this concept even more! The girls looked astonishingly stunning here, they’re ALL glowing and shining in their respective panels and individual moment!
Ngl I was worried about the dance part when I saw it because I was solely focused on Yujin during that part and she sold it oof But I don’t think the dance is that suggestive that it would be problematic. At least at hope so.
The song is growing on me already but I think on a first listen the chorus didn’t stick to me as much as “eleven” (this song has a chokehold on me) but I’m positive “love dive” will grow on me! I already like the house element of the song and their deeper voices here! I love their voices, so charming!
Basically, concept wise it is 100%, the song will have to grow on me. It was the opposite for “Eleven” lol
