TPMS repair can be confusing. This video shows end-to-end on how to diagnose, install a new sensor, and to extinguish the TPMS warning light. Uses 2007 Toyota Prius to demonstrate, but should be mostly the same for any vehicle.

Although it is now a lot cheaper and easier to go to a discount tire store to have the TPMS sensor replaced--which I would recommend doing.

Uses Autel MaxiTPMS TS-408 to diagnose bad sensors and to program new sensors; Autel MX-Sensor TPMS as replacement sensors, and BeadBreaker XB-452 to break the tire beads.

TS-408 "clones" or "programs" new sensor to make it look like the old sensor so the car side does not have to be re-programmed. TS-408 cannot program the car side.
