As is regular operating procedure for the "Dorset Coast Explorer" Railtours, operated by Saphos Trains, the steam locomotive at the helm of the tour detaches at Yeovil on the outward leg. From here, while the tour is worked to Weymouth under diesel power, the steam loco works light to the Yeovil Railway Centre to be turned and serviced, before running light to Weymouth and hauling the return leg of the tour to Bristol Temple Meads.

Ex-SR Rebuilt 'West Country' Class - 34046 "Braunton", owned by Icons of Steam, once again provided the motive power for the tour, having also worked last weeks rendition.

The Rebuilt Bulleid Pacific arrived at the Railway Centre mid-morning, staying until 2pm. Upon leaving the Yeovil Railway Centre, "Braunton" travelled South toward Weymouth, caught by the cameras at Bincombe, in preparation for working the "Dorset Coast Explorer" on the return leg. As 34046 lifted the Railtour out of Weymouth, the cameras stayed at Bincombe to bear witness to the Bulleid striding up the 1 in 50 gradient heading back toward Bristol.

All footage filmed on Wednesday the 3rd of July 2019.
