Furry tofu, or what we call 毛豆腐 looks scary, but it's surprisingly delicious and has a flavor reminiscent of cheese. This is something interesting and truly authentic, and you will have to dive deep into local streets or quaint villages in China to find it. It is actually very easy and fun to make at home. Ingredients for Fermenting Furry Tofu
1 tsp mucor powder (Purchase Link - https://curatedkitchenware.com/produc...)
1/3 cup boiled but cooled water
2 lbs of firm tofu

Ingredients for Making the Crispy Hairy Tofu
1.5 cups of vegetable oil
1 pack of furry tofu for deep-frying
1.5 Tbsp of cooking oil for making the dipping sauce
1.5 tbsp of minced garlic

2 tbsp diced scallion
2 Tbsp of cilantro
2.5 Tbsp of soy sauce (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/light-soy-sauce)

1 tbsp of water

Ingredients for Making the Fermented Bean Curd
1 cup of vegetable oil
1 lb of furry tofu
4 tsp of salt
1/3 cup of chili flake
