Its finally Autumn and Tennessee is really showing off. Before it gets too chilly, we need to get a few plants in our little pond so they can get a good head start for next year! I am also just beyond thrilled that our pond truly worked. The water level has barely dropped, especially considering we have had almost zero rain the last two months, and it is the ONLY source of water for the cows. Success! They do not currently have access to it unless they are freely grazing, which is maybe once a week..which means I am gathering pond water by the bucket-full and toting it up many hills.

Plants used:
Juncus
Sedge
Creeping Jenny
Perennial Rye Grass
Crimson Clover
Hornwort
Elodea
Water Lily (I couldn't help myself..I NEED to see our little frogs on the lily pads)

I wasn't actually super impressed with the garden center we went to unfortunately.
