A brief break from oir cottag build! I’ve gotten so many questions on Instagram about our chicken coop, so here is the in-depth look at how we built ours!

It’s been about 6 months or so with our chickens actually in the coop since this video and it’s been everything I hoped for. I know when I close them up at night that I don’t have to worry about them at all, and they happily put themselves away each night at sundown which tells me they like it, too, and they feel safe and at home.

We let our chickens free range all day, every day, which of course has its risks (and we’ve lost two chickens to predators during the day 😭), but we are troubleshooting that as best we can and feel like free-ranging is always best when you have the space.
