It's almost spring time as I am releasing this video and the weather is warming up. Warm, sunny March days in my area means you're probably gonna see Little Black Stone Flies buzzing around on the water. That was the case for me yesterday when I got out on the water. Shortly after lunch time the Little Black Stones started landing on the surface to lay their eggs. The trout weren't really looking up much but I did see a few risers.

The version of the L.B.S. is a pretty simple one. With a little practice even a beginner can get these wings down pretty easily. Keep your sighter small and practice your hackle wraps keeping them tight and neat looking. Most importantly have fun tying.

Like always, please head over to https://www.holsingersflyshop.com for all you fly tying needs. And also if you would like me to do any custom tying for you please reach out to me by email at [email protected]. Until next week, thanks for watching. -Shawn
