In this epic video, my friend Nick T and I leave Fukui City and start making our way toward Kyoto. We cycle a lot of the way through rural Japan, which means a lot of quiet villages, closed-up schools, beautiful rice fields, and not a lot of people. We try to make the most of it, we meet some nice people who feed us delicious food, a girl who lets us pet her meerkat, and we're attacked by a ferocious hawk that steals our breakfast.
