We made the hike on January 1st, 2022, to Mount Ciremai via Apuy. The mountain which has a height of 3078 MDPL is dubbed as the roof of West Java because it's the highest mountain in the West Java region. To hike Mount Ciremai, hikers can choose from 4 available options, including the Palutungan Route, Linggarjati Route, and Linggasana Route, all three of which are located in Kuningan Regency, while the 4th route is the Apuy Trail located in Majalengka.

The Ciremai hiking trail via Apuy can be accessed in the Majalengka area, West Java. This path has 6 posts before the peak. The recommended ideal campsites are at Post 4 Tegal Jamuju and Pos 5 Sanghyang Rangka. The estimated normal time of hiking from the registration post to campsite post 4 or post 5 is 6 hours, it could be faster or slower depending on the rhythm of the trip and the obstacles encountered during the route.

- Registration Post to Post 1 Arban, 58 minutes
- Post 1 Arban to Post 2 Tegal Pasang, 43 minutes
- Post 2 Tegal Pasang to Post 3 Tegal Masawa, 42 minutes
- Post 3 Tegal Masawa to Post 4 Tegal Jamuju, 41 minutes
We decided to camp at Post 4 due to rain and lightning.

☛ The Cost of Hiking to Mount Ciremai via Apuy ☚
- Rent 2 vehicles (Suzuki Ertiga & Toyota Sigra), Rp. 1,800,000 per car, all in a round trip, just divide by the number of participants Rp. 3,600,000/11 people = Rp. 327,500/person
- Registration fee via local Basecamp, Rp.70.000,-/person + meal voucher & hiking certificate
- Rent a Suzuki Carry Pick Up car from Basecamp to the resident's garden (road repair point) Rp. 30.000,-/person (round trip)
- Rent a motorcycle taxi from the garden to the registration post, Rp. 15,000,-/person (one way)

So the total cost of hiking to Mount Ciremai per person is around *Rp.442,500 (prices are subject to change at any time). These costs do not include personal snack expenses, personal or group logistics purchases. There is an additional fee if you want to use the services of a porter, the price of Mount Ciremai porters via Apuy is in the range of Rp. 500,000 to Rp. 600,000 per porter.
