In this video we install a 300 series steering wheel into the 79. The LC300 wheel is a direct replacement onto the steering column. However, if you wish to have a completely functional steering wheel with controls, these inputs must be wired in. These are; KEY 1, KEY 2, GROUND and illumination. Some mainstream headunits may not have KEY inputs and in this case you will need a steering wheel interface module (decoder) which converts KEY analogue signals to a code most headunits will recognise.
