In this entry level theory lesson, I go into detail about how to construct major chords from the major scale. First, I show you the formula for building the major scale with 3 different fingerings, then apply the formula for building chords to those fingerings, which in turn gives us 3 different fingerings for the chord. I also explain the 3 basic intervals that make up the major chord.
