I used Fusion 360 to design a set of miter gears and I 3D printed them
That is a set of bevel gears with a 1/1 ratio at a 90 degree angle with a strait involute tooth profile.
No Add On needed so it will work on Mac and PC.
Once you understand the design, it will allow you to do any ratio at any angle.
I found some excellent information on this web site:
https://www.sdp-si.com/resources/elem...
But that is much more math and trigonometry that I want or need to know.
I just want to design gears that I can 3d print and I had fun figuring the process.
Disclaimer:
I am not an engineer, I am however an experienced AG technician, and deal with gears everyday.
I believe these gears are accurate, and certainly good enough for 3D printed projects.
Let me know what else you would be interested to see?
Thank you for watching.
