He had one of the most recognizable nicknames in NFL history to go along with one of it's biggest personalities, before guys like Chad Johnson or Terrell Owens were always in the headlines and being criticized by the media, Andre "Bad Moon" Rison was the first receiver to do things his own way and think outside the box, He's a trailblazer when it comes to joining together football and hip hop, the same way it was being done with basketball, but you're only able to do that if you're good, and Andre Rison was really really good. He came out of Michigan State as a member of the stacked 1989 NFL Draft and spent a year with the Colts before being traded to the Atlanta Falcons and creating the league's most charismatic tandem between him and Deion Sanders, otherwise known as Showtime and Primetime, Rison spent 5 years in Atlanta putting up hall of fame numbers, but when the Cleveland Browns offered him a record contract, he went for the money, yet his play on the field never returned to the same level, as over the next half of his career he would be good, but not great, yet he would help Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl title, and have some good later years with the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. Unfortunately, Rison became known more for his financial struggles off the field and would hit some low poitns after football, and as it seems he's improving in recent years, it seems fitting to celebrate the career of the man who dubbed himself "Spiderman"
