This shortened cake is very soft and delicious
This is a very easy butter cake (yellow cake) recipe and it is very straightforward.
This is much similar to pound cake.
My videos show how to make the butter cake with a step by step method.
Please watch the video till the end so you will not miss the important steps.

250g All purpose flour (1½ cups + 1 tbsp)
200g caster sugar (1 1/4 cups)
200g unsalted butter (1 cup - remove 1 tabs)
3 x 80g eggs
1.5 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/4 tsp baking powder (7g)
1/2 cup lite milk (100g )

Important tips

When you melt butter, use a hot water bowl to melt the butter, Keep the container with butter in the hot water melt them slowly. Do not completely melt it and butter should not be hot when add in the batter
Preheat the oven to 100 C for 10 minutes
Bake the cake at 150 C for 50 minutes, Here we use the baking tin with a depth so it takes time to bake the inside of the cake
Do not over beat your batter, Make sure the batter has a volume.
Make sure sugar is completely dissolved
