I tried catching my own fish at Zauo Shinjuku, a unique fishing restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. But it was an epic failure. Zauo Shinjuku is part of a themed restaurant chain originating from Fukuoka, offering customers the experience of catching their own fish for dinner. Armed with a fishing rod, diners set out on a quest to hook their meal, with restaurant staff celebrating each successful catch with cheer, chant, and a strike of taiko drum.

However, the excitement quickly turns to anxiety as I struggle to master the art of fishing. Despite the setbacks, Zauo Shinjuku provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the taste of fresh fish and indulge in a memorable dining experience amidst the bustle of Tokyo.
