A few diggers hunting relics at Stonewall Jackson’s Amputation Site but I happened upon my own Army of the Potomac Field Hospital in McLean. One of my jobs that day was wiring up HVAC system at a new construction house directly across from the Historic Ben Venue plantation off of Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Virginia. Lucky for me I always kept one of my machines in my service vans. Usually the old entry level Whites Coinmaster, because I didn’t care if it got beat around, damaged or destroyed. I would use that to prospect and if I found something I would return later with the Garrett AT/pro or Teknetics T2.
I did ok. I really only hunted for maybe 30 minutes and recovered a New York button and handful of bullets. I enjoyed that moment very very much!
