When you’re travelling to the Philippines it is highly likely you want to visit the incredible CORON island, which is famous for its marvellous limestone cliffs, crystal clear waters, amazing sealife and most importantly, the shipwreck diving spots!

If you just arrived to the Philippines, you are most likely in Manila or Cebu, which means you can easily book a direct flight to Coron/Busuanga. If you book in advance, you can get a very good price, less than 100 euros for a return flight.

The second scenario is when you’re already in El Nido, Palawan and you wish to continue your travel towards Coron Island (Busuanga)

We have already visited Coron before, so this was our second time travelling here,
This time when we wanted to return to Coron from El Nido, we were lucky enough to find very cheap flights with AirSwift airline.
For a short 25 minutes flight we paid about 45 euros per person

Most people will book a ferry ticket with the fast ferry Montenegro lines, which should take about 4-5 hours wheater permitting, which costs around 40 euros. There is a slightly cheaper option with a regular ferry, but we have never travelled by ferry to Coron, so we are not sure what the journey looks like.

The second option would be to book an island hopping expedition between El Nido and Coron, sleeping on remote island in Linapacan. There are various tour operator who do this, such as Tao Philippines, Keelooma, Buhay Isla, Big Dream Boatmen and so on - this was out choice in 2020 and we absolutely loved every second of it!

We’ve done some pretty amazing things in the week that we spent in Coron!
If you would like to see our journey here in Coron and the Philippines, please consider subscribing to our channel and show our videos some love!

Over our next few episodes you will see some of the best things we have done here, such as learning how to freedive up to 20 meters in Barracuda lake (disclaimer, we did see the barracuda fish during our training sessions and he is a total cutie!)

We’ve done the island hopping tours around the lagoons, freedived a lot with the extraordinary sealife here in Coron there are so many coral reefs and gardens!

We have also taken a longer tour to visit the islands that are further out in Coron, closer to Linapacan, such as Ditaytayan and Malcapuya!

And last but not least, we scuba dived to a few shipwrecks!
To be honest, before diving here we believed shipwreck diving is overrated, but it is not!
It’s something you need to see with your own eyes once in a lifetime!
