KEERTHANAAMRUTHA BOOK contains Kannada and Tulu devotional songs written by late Panambur Shree Guru Sadanandaru. Panambur Shri Guru Sadanandaru was also called as Shri Seenivasaru (who is known to be having Divine powers) was born to Pandit Shivappayya and Smt Sathyavathiamma in the year 1876 and lived till 1946. Pandit Shivappayya was the worshipper of Gopala krishna Devaru and was residing in Bakula Vana Kuteera near Panambur beach. Guru Sadanadaru in about 70 years of his lifetime, wrote many kannada and Tulu devotional songs in the Pen name - ‘SADANANDA’.
LATE SHRI BUWAJI RAMA T. KOTIAN – WAS THE FIRST AND FAVOURITE DECIPLE OF GURU SADANANDARU and was also helping his Guru with his writings. He was singing those bhajans in Mangalore and in Mumbai Bhajana Mandalis with his melodious voice. He was well recognised in the Bhajana circles and was honoured with the title of “BUWAJI”. He also sang Sant Tukaram`s Marathi Abhang, Bhakth Kabeer`s Hindi Bhajans and also Tulu Bhajans, and was acclaimed in Bhajan circle for his singing in different languages. He was also well-known for performing Bhajan programmes abroad. Being known as favourite disciple of Panambur Shri Guru Sadanandaru, he collected most of GURS`s writings, compiled and edited a book titled ‘KEERATHANAAMRUTHA’. He made huge efforts to reach those writings to general public. Aa a feature in the cap, we bring to the notice of Bhajna lovers that a famous compilation named THAULAVA DAASA DARSHANA (UNDIVIDED SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT HARIDAASARA JEEVANA SAADHANEGALA SANGRAHA) authored by SAMAPAADAKI B. K SHRIMATHI RAO (Shri Guru Priya Vithala Daasi), which reveals the rankings of all HARIDAASAAS. We are very very happy to state that SHREE PANAMBUR GURU SADAANANDARU is ranked 12th out of 55 HARIDAASAS/HARIDAASIS beginning from SHRI MADHAVAACHARYA AND SHRI VAADIRAJA SWAMY.
