Meet a spider that, I think it's safe to say, is a long overdue feature on this channel: Latrodectus hasselti, the Redback. A close relative of the infamous Black Widows, L. hasselti is arguably Australia's most iconic spider, and along with the funnel-webs, is one of the few species armed with potentially dangerous venom. However, there's more to this spider than merely a lethal bite, and in this video, we'll be exploring the other facets of a Redback's life.
