After suspecting Tom Kerman of being a spy, he was quietly ushered onto a private jet where he would be flown to a secret base for questioning. Only one pilot could be trusted with a mission of such a sensitive nature: Jedediah Kerman. However, during the flight they were intercepted by an unknown craft and shot down. The wreckage of the plane was found but the two kerbals were nowhere to be seen... Perhaps they survived?

Fun story telling aside, in this episode we finally retire Pod I, landing it at one of the older landing sites to rest. The new Pod III has taken its place and is immediately put to use. The crew of the Beluga are rotated, and designs of a new Hawk shuttle are put to the test.
