I am 67 years old and I live a two-base life between my home in Tokyo and my parents' house in Ibaraki. I had a fever in the 38-degree range for three days and couldn't get out of bed. My husband had been infected earlier, so our whole house was in quarantine, and I don't remember much about what happened during that time. I recovered quickly afterwards, but I couldn't go to my parents' house because I had to stay home. Not being able to do things that I had always taken for granted and not being able to see the vegetables in my parents' garden made me realize how much comfort I had derived from being with plants and in our old house, and how they had made me feel happy. I won't ask for any luxuries anymore. If I can clean my parents' house and do garden work, I won't have any complaints. I would also like to go to the flower shop if possible, and plant some seeds... No, no, just being able to go through my usual routine with a broom and a mop would make me so happy!
