Full step by step tutorial. Quilt a two sided square then sew them together. This quilt got put into a bin and was forgotten for 23 years and now it is finally complete! Finished quilt is 50x68” (127x172.7cm)

Supply List:
-48 squares 9x9”(22.9x22.9cm) warm and natural cotton batting about 1.5yds (1.4m)
Back of quilt
-24 squares cut on the diagonal in half 9.5x9.5”(24.1x24.1cm) I used a teal batik cotton pattern. About 1 yd (1m)
-24 squares cut on the diagonal in half 9.5x9.5”(24.1x24.1cm) I used black About 1 yd (1m)
Front of quilt
-24 squares cut on the diagonal in half 9.5x9.5”(24.1x24.1cm) I used teal and purple batik cotton About 1 yd (1m)
-lots of scrap strips of fabric cut in varied widths
Sashings & Binding I used black About 2 yds (1.8m)
-40 sashings cut at 1 1/8” x10” (2.9cm x25.4cm)
-40 sashings cut at 1 3/4 x 10” (4.5cm x 25.4cm)
-7 sashings cut at 1 1/8x60”(2.9cm x 152.4cm) or the width of your quilt
-7 sashings cut at 1 3/4 x 60”(4.5cm x 152.4cm) or the width of your quilt
Binding
3.5” by the length around the whole quilt plus 18” = 7 yds (6.4m)
-black thread, blue thread or your choice of colour
-cutting mat
- long quilting ruler
-12” square quilting ruler
-rotary cutter
-sewing machine
-walking foot or quilting foot
-sewing needle
-sewing scissors
-sewing pins
-tape measure
-sewing knitting gauge
-marking pencil or fabric marker
