Ascento to Monte Pramaggiore (2478 m)in the magnificent Dolomiti Friulane Natural Park. I started from Forni di Sopra (900 m) and I followed the 362 CAI Trail, along the beautiful Val di Suola, until i reached the Flaiban Pacherini refuge. I had a delicius cake and then I continued on a steeper path until i reached the 363 CAI Trial wich i followed to Passo di Suola (1994 m). From here the trial is for expert hikers as mentioned on the Topographic maps.
You have to cross under some rock walls and the a large ledge wich is a litte crumbled.
Over there you reach forcella Rua Alta (2144m). Now the trail becames steeper until you reach Forcella Pramaggiore (2295m). From here you can see the last part of the ascent. From Forcella Pramaggiore to the top there's not an official and marked trail, but you have to follow very rare red dots on the rocks.
The firs part is on a steep scree were yuo have to pay atention not to move rocks and finding the righy way is not always easy. Then yuo have to climb some vertical rocks for about 10 meters. It's not that difficult, i ma say first or second grade. Over this part you have just to follow the logical and easy way to the top. Form Forcella Pramaggiore to the top, it's more or less 30 minutes.
On the top the panorama is gorgeous and if you are lucky as me yuo'll find some Ibex strolling around, with no fear for the humas.
For the descent, the way is just the same.
Total time 10 hours, 1600 m of positive climb and 22 Km in total.
I recommend this hike if you have not fear of unstabel scree and yoo can climb some easy rocks. Otherwise it's better to stop at the Forcella Pramaggiore
