The circle jig with to pivot points plus the jig with bearing that keep vertical the jigsaw blade work together to make a perfect oval in wood. I have already drawn the oval so I know both radius and the points where to put the pivot points of the circle jig. It is just a question of cutting two short radius arcs plus two large radius arcs. The woodworking trick is knowing when to change the pivot points of the jig so there is not a step in the tangency points when I cut the wood.
