Solving issues while making the circle cutting jig. The theory seems easy to follow, but when making the circle cutting jig for the table jigsaw, several problems arose that I needed to address on the fly. And this isn’t the first time I’ve made one of these woodworking jigs for cutting wood. The main issue is that the surface of the table jigsaw I currently have is somewhat narrow, and the base of the circle cutting jig wobbles. I can clamp it on the narrow side with a carpenter's clamp, but I tried adding a locking screw and found it to be an acceptable solution. Additionally, I discovered that the base of the jig is too thin, and the nail I use as a pivot point must go completely through it to function properly. The problem is that it does not allow me to cut very small wood circles, as the pivot point hits against the surface of the table jigsaw. In an upcoming video, we'll see a simple trick I had to use to properly cut a somewhat small circle.
