Alice: A Yellow Ribbons Documentary is a short focus piece that documents a personal journey with Endometriosis and its impact.

Alice is a married mother of three who has suffered with Endometriosis since she was a teenager. A poet from a young age, she has spent most of her life utilising her talents in order to express the feelings brought about by her experiences. After many years of trying various treatments which she openly discusses, Alice is currently awaiting an excision surgery and is hopeful that she will regain some pain free days so she can dedicate her time and energy to what is most important to her in life.

In this short documentary, Alice gives us an honest insight into her journey so far, the difficulties along the way and how her passions for advocacy and better sexual health education grew from her own lived experiences.

Alice is passionate about seeing better awareness and change when it comes to Endometriosis and hopes that by telling her story, she can help others who have experienced the same.

Yellow Ribbons aims to raise awareness through sharing real lived experiences of Endometriosis and other conditions that suffer the attachment of social stigma, in the words of the sufferers themselves. It also focuses on combining creativity and self expression to further awareness through the arts, so that education around these topics can also break down the confines of their social stigma.
