I have heard it so many times: "You're supposed to move forward, not up, when you run”. Like you should strive to minimize the movement upwards. But this is not the case, as I have explained in other videos. Vertical movement can be good. But since it can be complicated, which I also have noticed in the comments, here is an other aspects to this up and down movement that I've noticed many runners don't think about. Let's pretend that you are a cannon of the old type, used on pirate ships. The kind that uses gunpowder to fire cannonballs. And you don't have much gunpowder

"The best money I have ever spent. Great mix of humour, practical technique and theory. It’s brilliant and I have been telling all my friends about it. I’ve knocked 30 secs off my average pace to 4:30 and at 53 I’m absolutely astonished how relaxed I feel running. It’s also really helped my cycling my adapting similar techniques and visualisation. Thanks so much."

"I knew nothing about running other than put one foot forward in front of the other...and fast. Then I signed up for his course. Mind blowing!... and too cheap if you ask me. Totally recommend it."
